Work Hours: This role requires you to work US based hours (EST) (15h00 - 24h00 SAST).

Requirements
?roven experience in a receptionist, customer service, or administrative role within the medical field is essential.
?amiliarity with medical terminology and health insurance processes.
?roficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and scheduling software.
?trong communication skills, both written and verbal.
?bility to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
?igh level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
?nowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
?ech-savvy, with a good understanding of virtual communication tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
?ompassionate and patient-centered approach to customer service.

Key Responsibilities: ?nswer incoming calls and respond to patient inquiries in a timely and courteous manner. ?chedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments using the electronic health record (EHR) system. ?anage the clinic? email inbox, responding to patient inquiries and routing messages to the appropriate healthcare professionals. ?erify patient insurance information, collect co-pays, and process payments as needed. ?ssist in processing patient forms, records, and documentation. ?rovide patients with information on clinic policies, services, and procedures. ?nsure patient confidentiality by following HIPAA regulations and best practices for data security. ?end reminders for upcoming appointments via email, phone, or SMS. ?aintain an organized virtual filing system for patient records and correspondence. ?iaise with medical staff to coordinate patient care and follow-up as needed.
