Summer 2025 Environmental Advocacy Internship

NexaYouth is a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating young people about the vital connections between environmental sustainability and human health. We focus on empowering youth through accessible education and advocacy initiatives to create a healthier and more sustainable future. Role Overview: As a Youth Environmental Intern at NexaYouth, you will play a key role in promoting awareness and action on critical environmental issues. This internship is ideal for high school and undergraduate students passionate about environmental advocacy, public health, and education. Responsibilities: ? Conduct research on environmental and health topics to create engaging content for NexaYouth?s platform. ? Assist in planning and executing advocacy campaigns, workshops, and community events. ? Develop educational resources that simplify complex environmental topics for youth audiences. ? Collaborate on social media strategies to raise awareness and drive engagement. ? Support partnership building with schools, organizations, and community groups. Qualifications: ? High school or undergraduate student with a strong interest in environmental issues, public health, advocacy, or education. ? Excellent communication and organizational skills. ? Self-motivated and able to work independently and in team settings. ? Experience with social media platforms or content creation is a plus but not required. ? Enthusiasm for empowering youth and creating meaningful change. Time Commitment: ? Up to 8-10 hours per week. ? Flexible schedule to accommodate students? academic commitments. What You?ll Gain: ?
