Student Law Clerk (Part Time, Remote)

The Corporate Law Department at MetaSource, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Law Clerk who is in their Second Year of Law School to join our team in a part-time, remote position. We recognize the importance of flexibility for students managing their academic and personal commitments.

This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in corporate law, working closely with our Vice President of Legal and Compliance. The Law Clerk may assist with various tasks related to contracts, compliance, and other legal matters in support of our overall success as a department and company. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated law student to develop practical skills and gain valuable insights into corporate law.

Job Responsibilities
?onducts legal research and analysis on various corporate law issues.
?versees the execution of documents by appropriate authorized signatories.
?rafts and reviews corporate documents, contracts, and agreements.
?ssists in the preparation and filing of corporate documents with regulatory bodies.
?aintains and organize corporate records and legal documents.
?rovides support in compliance and regulatory matters.
?ollaborates on legal projects and case management.
?ssists in the preparation of board meeting materials and minutes.
?onitors changes in corporate laws and regulations.
?ssists in the management of corporate litigation and dispute resolution.
?upports due diligence processes for mergers and acquisitions.

Requirements
?urrently enrolled in the 2nd or 3rd year of an accredited law school.
?bility to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
?trong understanding of corporate law principles.
?xcellent legal research and writing skills.
?roficiency in legal research tools and software, and office software.
?trong organizational and time management skills.
?ttention to detail and ability to work independently.
?ffective communication and collegial interpersonal skills.
?trong interest in pursuing a career in corporate law.

Preferred Job Requirements
?rior experience in a corporate setting
?rior experience in business services, technology, and or mortgage industry
