HealthCare Support is actively seeking Remote Prior Authorizations Pharmacy Technician to fill an opening with a large managed care and pharmacy benefits management company in the state of Florida.

Daily Responsibilities for Remote Prior Authorizations Pharmacy Technician:
?his is a Call Center environment. The pharm techs will receive prior-authorization requests via fax or incoming call and will compare them to a set of criteria on UHG's database. The goal is to get these requests approved for the patient so they can receive their medicine. If the prior authorization is rejected, the techs will try to resolve the issue for them by contacting doctors or pharmacists or seeing if there is a problem with their insurance, etc.
?he essential functions of a pharmacy technician in Prior Authorization are providing expertise and customer service support to members, customers, and/or providers.
?his position exists to take incoming requests for prior authorizations, for formulary and non-formulary medications, while ensuring a high level of customer service and maximizing productivity.
?equests can be received via fax or telephone, from providers' offices and pharmacists.
?he position provides clinical review for authorizations in keeping with legal and contractual requirements, including but not limited to turnaround times (TATs) and service level agreements (SLAs).
?he technician must provide the information clearly, accurately and in a professional manner.
?nteractions with callers must be documented per contractual and various regulatory / legal requirements.
?raining: Training is for 4 weeks. Training time is Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. This training time is subject to change. Cannot miss any time during training.
?hift: Shift after training is an 8 hour shift with an hour lunch. The tech must be available as early as 5am and as late as midnight. The candidate will work 5 days a week which may or may not include a weekend day(s). There is scheduled Overtime and working on Holidays. Dependent on business needs, candidate could work up to 4 hours a day OT.

Preferred Qualifications for Remote Prior Authorizations Pharmacy Technician:
?ust be able to work in a fast-paced work environment with minimal to no time off during the contract period

Pay: $18.95 - $20.70 an hour

?ctive Pharmacy Technician License in the state of Florida
?ust have high speed internet connection at home
?ust be comfortable in working in a call center and metric-based environment
?xcellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
