Job Summary:

21Tech is seeking a highly experienced Business Consultant/Advisor with specialized knowledge in the transit maintenance industry. This role will be crucial in guiding our organization leverage emerging technologies to provide new solutions to transit agencies, to optimize maintenance processes, enhance operational efficiency, and improve safety standards. This is a part-time, on-call position that offers flexible hours based on project needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Advisory: Provide expert guidance on the integration of emerging technologies within transit maintenance operations, helping to align initiatives with overall business objectives.

Process Improvement: Assess current maintenance processes and recommend directions by which AI-driven optimizations may improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and optimize asset lifecycle management.

Project Management: Support the planning, execution, and monitoring of AI-related projects within transit maintenance, helping to assure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal teams, senior leadership, and external stakeholders to align AI strategies with business needs and communicate the value and benefits of AI applications.

Training & Knowledge Transfer: Provide input into developing training programs and resources to enhance organizational understanding of AI tools, ensuring seamless adoption and long-term effectiveness.

Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years in the transit maintenance industry, with a proven track record of implementing or advising on emerging technologies within maintenance or operations processes.

Business Proficiency: Deep understanding of transit maintenance and able to guide on how AI applications, machine learning, data analytics, and predictive maintenance models will be relevant to transit.

Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with transit maintenance software, data management, and condition-monitoring technologies.

Communication Skills: Excellent ability to convey complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences, including non-technical stakeholders.

Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on innovative, practical solutions for real-world challenges in the transit sector.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor?s or Master?s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.

Certifications in Maintenance Management and/or AI, analytics technologies are a plus.
