What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
? Conduct account investigation, follow-up, and collections on clinical trial/research accounts
? Collaborate with the Center for Clinical Trials regarding upcoming research studies
? Monitor patient visit statuses in coordination with physicians and study coordinators
? Apply knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding for accurate billing processes
? Ensure compliance with all government regulations regarding billing practices

What Is Required (Qualifications)
? High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
? Minimum of three years of experience in a medical billing office
? General understanding and application of basic accounting principles
? Proficiency in PC usage
? Knowledge of GE/IDX, EPIC, or similar computerized billing systems

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
? Familiarity with payers in specialty
? Understanding of FSCs and pay codes used in GE/IDX, EPIC, or billing systems
? Knowledge of contractual requirements related to medical billing
