Senior Assistant Customer Support/Call Center Representative

- What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide excellent customer service primarily by telephone to Medicaid Providers and/or Members
- Assist customers with coverage and claims-related questions
- Accurately interpret benefits and policy provisions for beneficiaries
- Conduct research and follow-up for prompt resolution of disputed claims
- Document calls clearly and consistently in the computer system
- What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a call center environment
- Experience working in the healthcare industry, specifically with Medicaid or Medicare
- Ability to follow written policies and procedures
- Good written and verbal communication skills, including professional telephone skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent; may hold a 2-year post-high school degree or a Bachelor's degree
- How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in health/human services
- Familiarity with auto answer systems
- Experience working in a metric-driven work environment
- Prior office or clerical experience
- Experience meeting specific service level agreements (SLAs)
