Data Scientist - US Citizen Required for Security Clearance

Data Scientist (U.S. Citizens Only) Remote — U.S. Based This role requires that you are a U.S. Citizen living in the United States to support clearance requirements. About the Role Join a small, fast-moving team building data solutions for public sector programs. You’ll work on meaningful projects that use data to improve how services are delivered, build transparency into workflows, and help organizations make informed decisions. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving practical problems with real data rather than writing research papers. What You’ll Work On You’ll collaborate with engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to: • Build and refine predictive models used in public services • Work with structured and unstructured datasets in real time • Create features and pipelines that make data usable across systems • Support identity verification using behavioral data patterns • Develop dashboards or reports for technical and non-technical audiences • Implement secure data practices in a regulated environment • Contribute to iterative delivery using Agile methods What You Need To succeed in this role, you should have: • U.S. Citizenship + U.S. residence (must have) • 3+ years in data science or applied machine learning • Strong Python skills (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn) • Experience with SQL and building ETL or data pipelines • Work with structured + unstructured data • Understanding of model evaluation and statistical concepts • Ability to communicate clearly with diverse teams • Comfort working with sensitive data Nice to Have • Experience with federal datasets or regulated industries • Work with chatbots or API-driven systems • Familiarity with biometric or behavioral data • Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP) • Knowledge of privacy, data security, or responsible AI Why It’s Interesting The work you do will support real outcomes for real people.
