Medical Billing Specialist - Remote - Washington State Resident Only

Island Billing Services LLC is looking for another medical biller/claims followup specialist to join our growing team. We are a small medical billing service based in Washington state with a dozen employees. All of our employees work from home during business hours. We have a position open that is full time. You must live in Washington State The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications: -Has a HIPAA compliant home office, with reliable high speed internet service, a personal computer (PC) and printer. We supply access to our online billing platform, paper, printing supplies, secure e-mail and fax number. Other equipment may be supplied as needed. -Has experience working from home, not required but highly desired -Has excellent customer service skills and is able to speak with insurance reps to get information on claims processing and denials. -Does not need training in Medical Billing, has experience with the whole revenue management cycle but is interested in focusing on problem claim and projects. Has the ability to recognize patterns of denials and work to solve the issue. Follow up and follow thru is incredibly important. -Is able to work a stable schedule during business hours -Is comfortable with submitting appeals, chart notes, and able to multitask. Able to work with provider reps and review contracts to pinpoint issues related to billing -This current position available is for someone to work on problem claims and claims projects. This person will be the go to person for all employees to solve issues related to current and older claims that others are not able to fix. This position requires attention to detail and organization to stay on top of the claims issues. Follow thru and communication with the owner and other employees is needed and expected -We specialize in billing for midwives and birth centers. Experience in maternity billing is a plus. - You must reside in Washington State. Preferably in the Puget Sound Area. We look forward to hearing from you!
