Project Summary: The Middle East & North Africa Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Services (MENA MELS) Activity, funded by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs Office of Assistance Coordination (NEA/AC). MENA MELS supports the design and implementation of rigorous research, assessments, evaluations, and learning activities for NEA/AC and its operating units in 10 countries in the Middle East and North Africa: Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Syria, Tunisia, the West Bank and Gaza (WBG), and Yemen. Project services include third-party monitoring, evaluations, assessments, and research; analysis and synthesis; learning and utilization; and MEL capacity building and training. MENA MELS will conduct third-party monitoring (TPM) through September 2026 to monitor, verify, and evaluate DoS-funded activities in Syria, Lebanon, and Iraq. The purpose of TPM is to verify and report on humanitarian assistance programming in these countries on related progress, challenges, successes, and lessons learned. The information and findings from TPM will be critical in ensuring program learning and accountability, which will be useful for real time programmatic adjustments and future program design. • *Please note: Only citizens of Iraq are eligible for this position** Position Summary: The Logistics Coordinator will provide logistical, procurement, administrative, and security support for the Regional Third-Party Monitoring Task Order under the MENA MELS project. This role will coordinate travel, venue bookings, event logistics, and vendor engagement to ensure smooth implementation of all in-country activities. The coordinator will work closely with the technical team to support scheduling, material preparation, and day-to-day operations across all workstreams. Responsibilities: • Provide operational, logistical, and security support to the project team. • Provide support for travel needs, including booking hotels, arranging transportation, and securing travel visas as necessary. • Support procurement-related tasks, including coordination with vendors, printing materials, and processing reimbursables. • Coordinate logistics and scheduling for events and internal/external communications activities. • Ensure high-quality recordkeeping, version control, and submission of all deliverables. • Facilitate translation, interpretation, or Arabic-English language support for materials. • Maintain updated contact lists, stakeholder directories, and event calendars. • Provide administrative and operational support to the Team Leader and project team as needed. Qualifications • Vocational institution certificate is required. • A bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant professional experience in logistics and security management required. • Prior experience on donor-funded development projects is required. • Demonstrated ability to assess priorities and manage a variety of competing, time-sensitive tasks. • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with staff and consultants. • Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills. • Fluency in Arabic and proficiency in English required.
