About the Position
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to join our team. As an Assistant Controller, you will be responsible for assisting in the management of the monthly close process, performing general accounting functions, and supporting the overall financial operations of the company. What Youll Do
We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Controller to join our team, responsibilities include:
? Oversee and the invoicing and AR processes.
? Oversee treasury function.
? Assist in management of monthly closing process.
? Assist Controller in day-to-day management of accounting functions.
? Assist Controller in production of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
? Engage with FP&A team to validate monthly operational reports.
? Serve as liaison between accounting team and business functional areas (claims, underwriting, etc.)
? Create and/or maintain updated policy and procedure documents including identification of internal controls of accounting functions.
? Ensure cross training among supervised staff members.
? Perform additional ad hod duties as assigned.

What Were Looking For

Education
? Bachelors of Science or Bachelors of Accounting in accounting, finance or relevant field is preferred.
? CPA or CMA highly desirable

Experience
? 7+ years of overall accounting and finance experience
? Proven experience working as an assistant controller or other similar position

Competencies
? Strong working knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
? Excellent understanding of general ledger functions and month-end/year end close process
? Strong command of accounting best practices, laws, standards and state/federal regulations
? Analytical abilities to develop and implement improvements and recommendations
? Detail oriented with attention to internal and external reporting deadlines
? High ethical standards
? Excellent verbal and written communicator
? Effective organization, time management and problem-solving skills
