GENERAL OVERVIEW:

Ensures the placement of patients into beds in accordance with physician service, patient accommodation needs and patient preferences.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: ? Utilizes the EPIC registration demographic to capture metrics necessary for all aspects necessary of bed control. Collaborates as a team-based member to deliver best patient care with physician practices and extended care facilities and the patient transfer notification process. (40%) ? Utilizes effective communication with all personnel to ensure highest quality in bed control. (40%) ? Ensures proper procedures regarding all aspects of bed control are followed. (20%) ? Performs other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum
? High school diploma / GED
? Completion of medical/secretarial transcription program or equivalent
