Remote Customer Service Representative
Description
We're looking for a Remote Customer Service Representative, working in Healthcare Systems and Services industry in Houston, Texas, United States.
?btain current patient information from established and new patients.
?nter and update accurately patient information in scheduling system.
?dentify payer source and verifies insurance eligibility.
?ssist patients with completion of paperwork when necessary.
?eview Scheduling System for needed updated demographics and consent forms. Schedules appointments.
?dentify patients by date of birth and name in computer system.
?reate new account if patient not in the system.
?chedule and reschedule appointments as needed.
?emonstrate superior customer service skills.
?nswer telephone in a timely and polite manner, preferably within three rings.
?ommunicate with customers in a courteous, professional, cooperative and mature manner.
?ake messages and convey accurate information to recipient.
?ransfer call to physicians and nurses when medically indicated.
?rotect and observe patient confidentiality per policies and procedures.
?mport registration documents into patient? electronic health record.
?ollow up of outstanding A/R all payers and/or including self-pay and/or including resolution of denials.
?esponsible for handling all correspondence related to an insurance or patient account, contacting insurance carriers, patients and other facilities as needed to get maximum payment on accounts and identify issues or changes to achieve client profitability.
?esponsible for working EDI transactions and ERA files, including reconciling carrier submissions, edits and rejection reports.
