Job Summary: ProEdit Services is seeking meticulous, detail-oriented Freelance Editors to join our dynamic team. As a Freelance Editor at ProEdit Services, you will play a critical role in ensuring our clients’ content is clear, consistent, and compelling. Key Responsibilities: • Review and edit a wide range of content, including articles, blog posts, academic papers, marketing copy, and web content. • Correct grammar, punctuation, spelling, and syntax errors while maintaining the author’s original voice. • Ensure consistency in style, tone, and formatting across all content types. • Fact-check and verify sources when necessary. • Collaborate with writers and other team members to clarify content requirements and make improvements. • Meet deadlines efficiently while handling multiple projects simultaneously. • Provide constructive feedback to writers to enhance overall content quality. Required Skills and Qualifications: • Exceptional command of the English language, including grammar, punctuation, and syntax. • Strong editing and proofreading skills. • Familiarity with different writing styles and formats (APA, MLA, Chicago, etc.). • Excellent time management and organizational skills. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. • Proficiency in word processing and editing tools such as Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Grammarly, and style guides. Experience: • Previous experience in editing, proofreading, or content review is preferred but not mandatory. • Experience in freelance work or remote projects is a plus. • Portfolio or sample of edited work will be highly advantageous. Working Hours: • Flexible, work-from-home schedule. • Ability to manage deadlines and workload effectively. • Part-time or full-time availability depending on project volume.
