About the Position As a Speech Language Pathologist with our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality speech and language therapy services to children, including: Participating in the planning and provision of speech and language therapy for children, including assistive technology, augmentative communication, social language development, articulation, voice, oral motor, receptive and expressive language. Performing appropriate diagnostic and evaluative testing to identify the communication needs of children. Presenting well-constructed, thorough reports related to completed assessments and observations of students. Developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and related documentation for speech and language services. Maintaining adequate records of treatment and data of the IEP objectives for the students being served. Meeting with parents and advising them of their child's areas of need and progress of development. Making recommendations for the level and frequency of services as related to the areas of need in the IEP. Working with and assisting other team members with providing necessary carry-over of strategies and skills into all other areas of the students' learning opportunities. Preparing reports and information as prescribed by DSD, Christina School District, the Department of Education, and the Cost Recovery office. Maintaining a professional relationship, working cooperatively with all school personnel. Pursuing opportunities for professional growth. About the Ideal Candidate To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications and skills: A Master's degree program in the area of Speech and Language Pathology. ASHA (American Speech/Language & Hearing Association) certified or working toward ASHA certification during Clinical Fellowship Year. Knowledge of American Sign Language or willingness to learn. Ability to stand and work continuously for a minimum of 4 hours per workday. Minimum lifting requirements of 50 pounds (with assistance). Ability to use arms and hands without restrictions to accommodate the physical, mobility, and ambulatory needs of students.
