Job Summary As a Pharmacy Service Representative, you will play a vital role in our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team. You will be responsible for providing phone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty medication therapy. Your primary responsibilities will include: Coordinating and processing new patient medication orders and refills, including verifying and updating benefits. Assisting patients with interpreting and entering new or refill medications into our pharmacy data system. Communicating and collecting copay amounts, obtaining approvals, and working with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve issues with medication orders. Utilizing excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with insurance companies, patients, and internal partners to ensure timely processing of specialty medications. Requirements Essential Qualifications: Active IL Pharmacy Technician License. One year of experience in a customer service role handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs via telephone. One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications. One year of PC keyboarding experience, skills, and proficiency. Preferred Qualifications: Preferred experience in healthcare and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and clinical terminology.
